ERIN ELIZABETH PHOTOGRAPHY | BLOG

I am utterly inspired by babies, children, and the love between families. Newborn squeaks, baby curiosity, toddler giggles, laughing families...I can't get enough of it all! Nothing makes me happier than capturing those moments in a portrait that will be treasured for a lifetime.

If you take a look around my website, you can get a good idea of my photographic style. My husband playfully refers to me as 'the toddler paparazzi', since I tend to let my subjects run wild, while I chase them with a camera. I usually refer to it as 'lifestyle photography'. After all, that's essentially what I'm striving to capture...life!

That's me on the left with my own little girl, Delilah. I'm constantly amazed at how quickly she grows and changes, and forever thankful that I continue to take the time to capture as many of her baby moments as possible. That's what I love most about photography. It allows us to steal away little snippets of time that might not seem like anything out of the ordinary when the camera shutter clicks, but will ultimately be the moments that we most treasure after they are long gone.

I cannot believe how long it’s been since I’ve updated this blog. I have been a horrible blogger and I sincerely apologize for the months-long silence. I hope there are still a few of you out there checking up on me every once in a while!

Not that it’s any excuse, but I have been very busy growing a baby! That’s right…Erin Elizabeth is growing a little mini EE. I’m due in a mere four weeks and we could NOT be more excited for our baby girl’s arrival. Yay for baby girls (and newborn pics!).

Since I am nearing the end of my pregnancy, we thought we had better take some maternity pictures so that we can remember this special time. And so that I can look back and think “I can’t believe I was so huge!!”. Haha. These were all taken by my hubby, Brett, who was a an absolute saint to put up with my control-freak nature all afternoon. I was like a photographic dictator. He’s getting quite good, if I do say so myself

My next photo shoot will be with our baby girl in a few weeks time, so keep your eyes peeled!

Meet Anna and Luke (and their parents).

I vividly remember visiting Anna in the hospital when she was born almost two years ago…now look at her! She’s an absolutely gorgeous toddler with a ridiculously adorable baby brother. Where has the time gone?

Anna and Luke were the perfect little models. And I must admit that I took great delight in listening to Anna speak Russian to her parents in her little toddler voice. I love when tiny voices speak in languages I can’t understand. We all went out and explored Bicentennial Park on the only gorgeous day during the whole week. How lucky were we? Enjoy the cuteness!

Meet Jude.

I’ve decided that if I ever have a little boy, I want him to be exactly like Jude. He is 7 months old and literally never stops smiling! He was so stinkin cute for the entire photo shoot…I could hardly stand it! He looked like he was having the time of his life, even though in reality he had to change his clothes a million times and wasn’t allowed to play on the wet muddy grass, despite his many attempts to crawl straight towards it.

Jude’s parents and I were laughing at his cuteness for over an hour. It was so much fun!
