ERIN ELIZABETH PHOTOGRAPHY | BLOG

I am utterly inspired by babies, children, and the love between families.  Newborn squeaks, baby curiosity, toddler giggles, laughing families...I can't get enough of it all!  Nothing makes me happier than capturing those moments in a portrait that will be treasured for a lifetime.

If you take a  look around my website, you can get a good idea of my photographic style.  My husband playfully refers to me as 'the toddler paparazzi', since I tend to let my subjects run wild, while I chase them with a camera.  I usually refer to it as 'lifestyle photography'.  After all, that's essentially what I'm striving to capture...life!

That's me on the left with my own little girl, Delilah.  I'm constantly amazed at how quickly she grows and changes, and forever thankful that I continue to take the time to capture as many of her baby moments as possible.  That's what I love most about photography.  It allows us to steal away little snippets of time that might not seem like anything out of the ordinary when the camera shutter clicks, but will ultimately be the moments that we most treasure after they are long gone.

Big changes happening ’round these parts! | Sydney Sutherland Shire Children’s Photographer

Well, someone must have lit a fire under my booty because I am on a roll with making some big changes here at Erin Elizabeth Photography.  Yay for exciting changes!!

First off…a new logo!  While I adored my old logo (I still do adore it, in fact) it just wasn’t practical enough for my needs, so it had to go.  But oh my, do I just LOVE my new logo!  I mean, check it out -

I think it suits me and my business just perfectly :)   Thanks to Amber at A. Mabe Design for her awesome design skills!

I will also be unveiling a brand spanking new website this week that I am SO excited about!  Again, I liked my old website, but it didn’t provide me with the features I need for my growing business.  This new one is gorgeous AND very functional…I can’t wait to show you all!  It should be fully launched by mid next week.  Yay!

Not only that, but I have a brand new and very exciting workspace!  Up until this point, I had been using my old Macbook for all of my editing.  While I love that laptop to death (literally, I think it’s on its last legs), it was time to move on and up.  And oh, how I love my new setup!  Check it out – on the left is my faithful old laptop…and on the right is my new baby.  Love it!

I’ve also recently purchased a new lens, which I am SO excited about.  It’s my dream lens, actually.  The Canon 85mm f1.2 L to be exact.  I have been drooling over that lens for almost two years, and now it’s finally all mine!  I have my first official photo shoot with that lens to share with you all later this evening.  It is every bit as amazing as I had hoped it would be :)

I will also be taking part in my first promotional day a week from tomorrow.  Erin Elizabeth Photography will be appearing at the Sydney Baby & Kids show in Sutherland on August 15th.  All you Sydneysiders, come on down to Sutherland and say hello!  All new clients from the show will be receiving 50% off my session fee…what a deal!  I can’t wait to meet everyone.

Anywho, I’ll keep you all updated on the exciting events to come.  Changes, changes, everywhere!

Eight Months Old! | Sydney Family Photographer

Has it been eight months already??  How has the time flown so quickly??

We returned from our big European trip a week ago.  When we left, Delilah was just a little baby…she’s come back with two teeth, the ability to sit unassisted, and the tendency to shout ‘mama’ all day long.  How things change in a mere five weeks!

Here she is in her little French outfit that her Daddy bought for her.  I think red is her color, don’t you?  ;)

7 Months Old…and in Paris! | Southern Sydney Baby Photographer

Well we arrived in Paris yesterday for our big five week holiday to France and Italy!  Here I thought I was a fan of travel…but my adoration for visiting new places is nothing compared to how much this daughter of mine seems to love it.  She has literally not stopped smiling and giggling for two days straight!  It’s hilarious!

We are a few days late with her seven month pics, but I knew I wouldn’t have time to take them before we left and thought it might be fun to do them over here instead.  These were taken on the grass underneath the Eiffel Tower this afternoon.  We are having so much fun…and obviously, so is Delilah!  :)
